LA AMISTAD LODGE BY ASOPROLA
La Amistad de ASOPROLA, in Altamira de Biolley, is near the main entrance to La Amistad International Park. An outstanding feature of this community is the creativity, good taste and artistry with which they incorporate recycling and reusing into all their activities, demonstrating that farming, building, decorating and tourism can be done in an environmentally friendly manner. When you stay at La Amistad, you are collaborathing the with whole community, because the income from their lodge supports many local businesses: the restaurant owned by the women’s group, community gardens including organic pineapple production, chicken-raising, organic coffee, etc.
Lodging:
- 3 rooms with a double bed
- 1 room with 5 bunk beds
- 3 rooms with 3 bunk beds
- I room with 2 bunk beds
- Six of the 8 rooms have private baths and heated water. The other two have shared baths
with heated water
- Lodging is also available in the homes of ASOPROLA members

La Amistad de ASOPROLA Rural Escape (3D/2N)
With transportation from San José (Public bus and local Taxis)
La Amistad de ASOPROLA, in Altamira de Biolley, is located near the main entrance to La Amistad Intenrational Park.
Day 1: Arrive to ASOPROLA, you can learn about the work of the association, In the afternoon, relax, share with people in the or choose a optional activity (not include), the coffee tour. Dinner and lodging in La Amistar de ASOPROLA.
Day 2: Breakfast. Your local guide will take you to two farms where cattle are managed in a way that reduces soil erosion. Then walk thtought plantations of share-grown caffee, organic sugar cane and corn. Soon you will be at the primary forest, observing many native trees, After this beautiful forest hike, you'll arrive al Pancho's Organix BioArchitechture Project, filled with the fruits of his unlimited imagination. You will get to be creative too, designing neckleces, bracelets or other crafts from forest seeds. The ASOPROLA women's group will have prepared a delicious native lunch for you, wraped in banana leaves. Return to the lodge on the Toucan Trail. Dinner and Lodging in La Amistad de ASOPROLA.
Day 3: Breakfast. Departure to your next destination.
